How Ise AI generated 2x incremental CTR for Safari Industries during the competitive holiday season
Safari Industries is India’s number 1 luggage manufacturer. With more than five brands in the company’s portfolio and healthy YoY sales growth, Safari’s leadership team looked for ways to profitably sustain this growth, especially with its eCommerce operations.
One of Safari’s brand managers – Tanisha Jatia – reached out to Ise AI for help creating attractive lifestyle images on-demand. Over the 2024 holiday season, Ise AI delivered a set of 17 lifestyle images featuring AI models showcasing hero products from Urban Jungle – the brand that Tanisha manages.
Holding all else constant, Urban Jungle launched an experiment where only the first image of the PDP listing was changed to Ise AI imagery. The brand found on average a 2x increase in clickthrough rate from category homepage for all luggage pieces (including competitor brands) to the brand’s own PDP listings. This resulted in the highest grossing holiday season in the brand’s history.
Of particular interest to the Ise AI team was the performance of AZURE754, a product that had previously not generated any sales on the platform prior to adding Ise AI imagery. Post-change, CTR from homepage to the PDP increased by 330% and conversion increased by 20%. There were also 6 other slow moving SKUs that did not have any conversions prior to the imagery addition that saw consideration and conversion increases post-change.
Tanisha shared the following in a debrief call with us:
The metrics took everyone by surprise, and it was the only change we made. Sometimes when you make changes on eCommerce, you can’t actually attribute the increase in sales, but this time around it was the only attribute we changed. So internally we have a lot of confidence to attribute whatever sales we had to the change in the PDP listing.
We also appreciated the ability to address the urgent brief two days before Christmas and deliver outputs in two days, so that we could take advantage of the holiday traffic.
